As a director, my passion for storytelling drives me to create compelling narratives that engage and inspire audiences. My curiosity drives me to constantly seek out new ideas, techniques, and approaches to enhance my craft and push the boundaries of performance. I place a heavy emphasis on an efficient rehearsal room with plenty of room for fun, which allows me to infuse energy, humor, and playfulness into my work. These qualities combine to fuel my dedication and drive as a director, propelling myself to always strive for excellence and innovation in every project I undertake.

As a director…

Current Project: Alice By Heart

In the fall of 2025, I was the director for Barestage’s Production’s fall musical, Alice By Heart. Set in the middle of the London Blitz of World War II, the young Alice Spencer’s life is turned upside down when she and her friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice’s ‘by heart’ rendition of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” transports the pair to Wonderland. This production runs from November 7th through November 16th on the UC Berkeley campus.

Hand to God by Robert Askins

The opening scene of the play. Performed by Matilda Macon (Margery), Leo Kearney (Jason), Maria Seiple (Jessica), Caspian Pixley (Timothy), and Shiv Sethi (Pastor Greg).

Den of Thieves by Stephen Adly Guirgis

The opening scene of the play. Performed by Leo Kearney (Paul) and Maria Seiple (Maggie).

Barestage Production’s 24-Hour Musical: The Little Mermaid

In May of 2024, I had the honor of co-directing Barestage Production’s first 24-hour musical alongside Micaela Bowers. Our goal was to include as many new faces as possible and to give students who didn’t get a chance to participate in any shows during the year a chance to perform. With a cast of 22 people and a crew of 13 people, our one-night-only production of The Little Mermaid housed a sold-out audience who could not stop raving about the cast’s talent and the quality of the production.

Lysistrata: A Woman’s Translation

In the spring of 2025, I was an assistant director for UC Berkeley’s spring play, Lysistrata. Set in a futuristic, drag-influenced, underground bar, this production addressed issues of bodily autonomy, sexual and gender agency, and what we are willing to sacrifice in the face of continuous war.
